After a season of rehearsal, last week The Girl performed her part in her ballet recital this year, a part of an Alice In Wonderland theme in which the Girl danced as one of the many Alices. She was great, even when (maybe even especially when) she adjusted her underwear on stage during the number.
That’s my Girl.
But, as many parents out there know, the actual dancing part is pretty much peripheral at this stage. Really, the main thing is the event, and getting dolled up for it.
Here’s a picture. Check out the make-up! Oh, and the bouquet of flowers (in this case courtesy of her Gramm, and almost as big as the Girl is …) definitely helps.
This was taken after the show, feeling good, and probably a little tired, too.

The dance season then draws to a close for the summer. Next year, starting in September, it’s going to be ballet and jazz!
